So sometimes, I occasionally post fanfictions. Those, if you aren't aware, are stories based on another show, anime, book, etc. If you can think it, it's probably been done. Rule of the internet, some of you will get that. This is a fanfiction. Not really my first priority, might update, blah, blah, read it if you want. Hope you like!~

Kit woke up, shivering in the winter air. She wobbled unsteadily to her feet, mewling as she did so.
"Mommy, wake up.I'm cold," she whimpered.
She opened her eyes for the first time in her short life, and she was amazed by all the hues of gold and blue. Especially the river. She turned her fuzzy head towards her mother, who was breathing shallowly on the ground. She watched Snowheart open one eye unsteadily, her breathing becoming more raspy.
"Kit, you......are my last.....one....come here....."She said, each breath coming with great difficulty.
Kit looked down at the ground next to her mother, and saw that it was stained a dark red.She padded over unsteadily to her and snuggled up to her matted fur. She licked Snowheart's face softly, tears starting to spill out of her eyes.
"Mommy, why are you so sick?"She asked, now crying full on.
"Sweet...heart... i am not.... sick.... i am dy....dying...."she managed to say. Snowheart coughed, her spit mixed with blood. A cat padded out of the forest on the side of the river they were on, and it ran over to her aid.
"My sweet... kitten... i will.... name.... you....."she said, her breaths slowing.
"Windsoul."And with that last word said, she closed her eyes, her breaths coming to an end. Her soul left her body, going to the great Starclan, and she vowed that she would watch over her kits in Starclan and in the great Thunderclan.
Darkfoot padded over to the kit, sniffing it. The tiny kit wheeled around, its ears flattened, tears spilling from its eyes.
"Wh-why are you he-here?" it sniffled.
"I, tiny kit, am here to take you to Thunderclan. You'll catch greencough out in this weather without a mother."He said kindly.
The kit started to cry after he said the word 'mother'.
"No, no, no, don't cry, sweet kit. I didn't mean to offend!" He quickly said, panic starting to form in his mind.
"You... didn't... my mommy just died.... ima kill the cat who did this... 'sniff'... i miss her...."The kit sniffled.
Darkfoot padded over to the kitten, nuzzling its face.
"Don't be sad, tiny kit. Shes in Starclan now. She's not really dead, just in a different place."He soothed.
He picked the tiny kitten up by the scruff, giving it soothing words. He spread his wings and flew across the forest, searching for the camp.Usually, he didn't do this kind of thing to get to the camp, but right now, the kitten was the first priority.
Darkfoot landed just outside of camp where no cat could see him, then padded up to the leader's den
"Um, Brightstar, ma'am, i have a urgent matter to talk to you about."He said warily.
If she was in one of her moods today, he was in trouble.
"What is it, Darkfoot?I can smell your fear-scent. I am fine for today, so there is no need to worry about me being mean. I see you have a kit with you. Is it like you?"She said kindly.
Darkfoot padded up into the leaders den, aware that Brightstar knew about his wings.
"I don't know, Brightstar. I found her by her mother, who bled to death by the riverside."He informed.
Brightstar hissed, flattening her ears.
"Which side was it? I need to know if this was....his 'mumble'..."She said urgently, turning into a mumble.
"Um, well, let's ask the kitten. I don't even know its name, let alone the gender."He mumbled shyly.
The kitten padded up to Brightstar, sniffing her. It sat next to her and said
"The side was on the left. It was him, and i think you know what i mean."She said broadly.
Brightstar hissed again, and unflattened her ears. She licked the kitten on the ear and asked
"Do you have a name, kitten?Your mother must have gave you one."
The kitten looked down at the ground, tears welling in her eyes. She sniffed, then said
"My name is Windkit, i think. Otherwise, the name my mommy gave me before...well, it was Windsoul."
"I will take care of you,Windkit, and will be your temporary mother. You are going to have to sleep in the nursery, though.I wish i could still sleep in here...hah hah hah..."Brightstar chuckled.
Darkfoot watched the leader take the kit to the nursery, and he turned his head towards the left side of the forest.
"What is over the river that upsets her so?"He pondered.
Windkit woke up snuggled up to a warm body, and she purred softly. Her mind still groggy from sleep, she yawned, her tiny teeth showing in the warm morning light. She looked up at the leader, then remembered that she had a temporary mother. She shook her head and stumbled up onto her feet, wobbling a bit. She walked out of the nursery and went over to where all the food was, and she sniffed it. She had to eat this? She tentatively grabbed a mouse and sat over by the nursery. She sank her teeth into the mouse, and was surprised by the savory taste of the meat.
"Mm..."She mumbled underneath her full mouth.
She saw through the side of her eyes a couple of kittens playing by the creek. She wanted to play too! She finished her mouse and ran over to the group, smiling. They all stopped playing for a second and eyed her suspiciously. Then, one of the kittens came up to her and smiled.
"My name's Lionkit. I'm the bravest kit in the clans that ever lived!"Lionkit bragged. She chuckled, and said
"Is that so? You aren't even afraid of... bears?"
Lionkit jumped up at the mention of the great animal and yelled
"Where?!"He realized his mistake and shyly looked at the ground, his fur flattening again. Windkit laughed softly, her eyes sparkling as she did so.
"Wanna play a game of leaf-chase? First one to reach the leaf is not it!" She mewed playfully.
He nodded, and a great grin came upon his face. They ran all the day until they were tired, and for a while, until the day she would become an apprentice, this was a daily routine. Then, the day came.
The clan was abuzz with excitement, for the day was upon them where new apprentices would be joining for the first time. Windkit was among those kits. She padded beside Lionkit, her tail held high. This was a proud day for her. She had never known so much pride in her life, let alone the superiority above the other kits.
"Hey Lionkit, do you think the leader will mentor us?" She asked.
Lionkit looked over at her and smiled, his tiny teeth showing in the morning light.
"Yea, i do think so. Maybe we'll get to be super apprentices!" He said enthusiastically. He jumped on her, and the two started to wrestle in the dry, cracked dirt. While the kits were playing, the elder Moonstone sat by the creek, eyeing Windkit carefully.
"Hmm..." She said softly.
As the kits untangled themselves, Lionkit's mother, the queen Rosepetal, walked over hurriedly.
"Oh, the ceremony's about to start, and your both so dirty!" She said haughtily.
